Inman Park Festival - THIS WEEKEND!

The 37th Annual Inman Park Spring Festival and Tour of Homes will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, 2008. The festival offers food, music, fun, the city’s largest street market, and an outrageous parade which was selected as Atlanta’s Best Neighborhood Parade by Atlanta Magazine. There’s also a home tour which includes Victorian-era treasures, Craftsman bungalows, revamped lofts, converted industrial spaces and contemporary gems.
* There’s a juried Arts and Crafts show - including some of the finest Southeast artists
* The parade’s grand marshall is Mayor Shirley Franklin - starts at 2pm on Saturday
*Children’s activity area - moon walk, face painting, and more
* A wide varierty of food, beverages and beer on sale
Admission to festival is FREE. Tickets for the Tour of Homes is $15 in advance and $20 day of event.
Festival Hours:
Saturday, April 26 11:00 - 8:30pm
Sunday, April 27 11:00 - 7:00pm
Parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED. They advise you take MARTA to the Inman Park station, ride the shuttle from City Atlanta East, carpool, ride a bike, or walk.
Also - NO PETS ALLOWED!!

I heard about this last week and really wish I could’ve gone. This is finals week for me so I couldn’t be in Atlanta like I normally am. How was it this year? And the parade was fun?
