Halloween 2007 Party Plan
Halloween is my favorite holiday - there’s no mushy emotions involved - it’s straight up fun. Yes, I will be in an awesome, original costume, listening to the Monster Mash and Thriller on repeat, eating sugar in the molded form of miniature pumpkins, and possibly appearing at one of the following locations.
Are you looking for places to go in Atlanta this Halloween? Here is my list of acceptable places to spend your Halloween in Atlanta this year. And - if you know of an event that is better than any of these, please email me or comment - ’cause none of these say - can’t be missed to me, but I am going out regardless:
Scarendipity: Sat. Oct. 27, $20 cover – Halloween bash thrown in a gorgeous, old 1890 Kirkwood home that used to be a funeral home. Live bands, open bar, DJ, pyrotechnics, bon fire. More info: www.halloweenatlanta.com
99x Brouhaha at Masquerade: Sat. Oct. 27, $13 advance, $15 door– U2 and Red Hot Chili Pepper cover bands, djs, $1,000 costume prize. Masquerade itself is a pretty scary place. It looks like it might fall over any minute, but this is the cheapest 21+ party I have found so far. More info.: www.99x.com
Spiralween: Sat. Oct. 27., $20 online, $40 door in costume, $60 at door not in costume, 21+ - This annual Halloween party is held at Park Tavern. It’s known for having the sexiest costumes. Prizes for best costume.
MODA Halloween Party at Park Tavern: Wed. Oct. 31, 7-11pm, $15 cover, Performances by The Liverhearts, The Orphins, DJ DVA, costume contest with prizes
Carl Cox at Opera: Wed. Oct. 31, 18+, $20 presale. If you even kind of like techno music, you will really love hearing Carl Cox spin on Halloween.
If you don’t want to dress up or drink this Halloween, which I personally cannot relate to, here are some other options:
* Saw IV comes out tomorrow
* Haunted Houses: Netherworld or Creepers are two great options!
* Tour Oakland Cemetery

That’s the issue with her. We should just be sad for the girl. She needs some type of sorting herself out or personal coaching or training or something. I really dug her most recent record, and I’d be really sad if we wouldn’t be hearing her amazing voice again.
