Chris Rock plays the Fox Theater TONIGHT
![]()
Comedian, Chris Rock, performs at the Fox Theater on Friday and Saturday night - March 21st and the 22nd on his “No Apologies” Tour. Tickets range from $45.50-$75.50.
Besides his career on Saturday Night Live, Chis Rock has been in a multitude of movies such as Madagascar, Nurse Betty, Bee Movie, I Think I Love My Wife, Dogma, Dr. Doolittle, Beverly Hills Ninja, Head of State, Down to Earth and more.
He has also been a reoccuring host for MTV’s video music awards and hosted the Academy Awards in 2004.
Wikipedia describes Rock’s comedic style as:
“Rock’s subject matter typically involves family, politics, romance, music, class relationships, and race relations in the United States. Though not strictly autobiographical, much of his comic standpoint seem rooted in his teenage experience; his strict parents, concerned about the inadequacies of the local school system, arranged to have the adolescent Rock bused to a nearly all-white high school in Bensonhurst (an Italian-ethnic neighborhood of Brooklyn known at the time for poor race relations). In his memoir “Rock This,” the comedian recalls, “My parents assumed I’d get a better education in a better neighborhood. What I actually got was a worse education in a worse neighborhood. And a whole bunch of ass-whippings.”[36] The discontinuity between expectation and experience—between what you arrive expecting and what you leave understanding—is one basis of Rock’s comic style, and seems to have come to him young.”
His wife, Malaak Compton, is currently a judge on the hit new Oprah relaity t.v. show - The Big Give.
Chris Rock has officially endorsed Barack Obama for the 2008 Presidential campaign.

I’ve always been a fan of Chris Rock. I really enjoyed him in Down to Earth and thought his bit about rap music was hilarious. The Fox is my favorite venue as well and I wish I could have caught the show!

I did see his sold-out performance and thought it was great! He did some great humor on the current presidential election. And I will re-tell one now: “Pres. Bush f-ed up so bad, that you can’t even be a white man and be Pres. anymore.”
“Can you imagine if Hillary Clinton wins and has the same oval office as Bill? She’s def. going to want to redecorate.”
“Hillary is the biggest forgiver. Even Jesus says, man I talk the talk, but you walk the walk.”
There’s a chance that was funnier with the Chris Rock delivery..

Chris Rock has to get back to making people laugh and let the anti-white, “always looking for racism” routine go. There was a point, in the middle of his set where it really became uncomforatable. There were few laughs from anybody white or black as he went on for at least half an hour, more preaching than entertaining about how tough it is to be even him in this society. $300 dollars wasted.
