*The 3D BookClub. More information can be found at http://3dbookclub.politicaldogma.com

*Club Name: Words of Inspiration Book Club

City/State: Atlanta, Georgia

Description: This book club was founded in January 2006 by Sharon Russ and Lakeisha Watkins. The reason for starting this book club was to bring old friends together and foster new friendships around a common activity, reading. We embrace the concept of sisterhood and the creation a new literary circle. African American literature explains who we are as a people…and perhaps, shed light on our possibilities and opportunities. The book club members love and respect each other as African American Sistahs. Therefore, we can agree to disagree in ideology as it pertains to book discussions. We come together to chat, listen, reflect, renew, shout, and yes, eat and drink. As women, we are given the opportunity to discuss books in a friendly forum, while broadening our literary knowledge and being introduced to authors/books we may or may not normally be expose to. While being a member of this group, you will give all of who you are. Enjoy yourself and others in the group. Feel free to openly express your feelings honestly. Express yourself the best way you know how. Sharing is our key exposure to things new and fresh! The book club meets once a month at various metro Atlanta restaurants in search of culinary and cultural excellence to broaden our mind, spirit, soul and yes, tastebuds.

Best Thai food in Atlanta

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

index_r3_c4.gifMy top two favorite Thai restaurants in Atlanta are: Thai Chili and Little Bangkok.

Thai Chili - casual dining, relatively innexpensive, delicious food - located off Briarcliff Rd. near the intersection of LaVista by Whole Foods. www.thaichilicuisine.com

Little Bangkok - located off of Cheshire Bridge road in a little strip mall, this appears like a hole in the wall, but what lies inside is delicious Thai food. They also have a full Chinese menu as well, but I have never ordered off of it because I love thai. Inexpensive, casual, and the food comes out quick.
